ULTIMATE RULESET (SINGLES) Format All Players will be seeded into a double elimination bracket. Players will advance either in winners bracket or losers bracket. In the Grand Finals, the Player that advanced from the losers bracket must win two (2) Matches to be awarded first (1st) place in the Tournament.

All sets will be Best-of-3 until top 8 where they will be Best-of-5. Ultimate Game Settings 3 Stocks

Gentlemen's Rule Players may select any legal or illegal stage if they both agree on it. Players may disregard Modified Dave's Stupid Rule if they both agree on it. Players may not change the length of a set or play a game other than Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Modified Dave's Stupid Rule (MDSR) Modified Dave’s Stupid Rule (MDSR) is in effect. This means that a player may not counterpick to the most recent stage that they have won on.

Ultimate Details Set Procedure For game one, a Best of 1 Rock, Paper, Scissors determine who bans first (winner may choose to ban first or ban second, or may select port priority) Both players must announce their characters before stage selection. Double-Blind selection may be requested by either player. Player 1 bans 1 stage from the starter list Player 2 bans 2 of the remaining starter stages Player 1 then picks from the 2 remaining stages for game 1.

In Game 2+, the winner of the previous game bans 2 stages from the Starter Stages and Counterpick Stages combined The loser of the previous game then picks a stage from the remaining stages but cannot pick the stage they most recently won on within that set. After stage selection, the winner selects their character first and the loser chooses second.

Pausing If a Player either intentionally or accidentally pauses the Game by either pressing the start button or unplugging their or their opponent’s controller, the Player who did not pause may choose to have the Player who paused forfeit one stock or continue with the game without a penalty. The penalty may be increased to a multiple stock forfeiture or a Game forfeiture at the discretion of the TOs.

Stalling Stalling, or excessively delaying the Game or Match, may result in a Game or Match forfeit at the sole discretion of TOs. Continuing infinite combos past 300% is considered to be stalling.

Sudden Death If a game goes to Sudden Death, the winner is determined by stocks and percentage at the time the match ends. When the timer hits 0:00, the Player with the higher stock count is the winner. If both Players are tied in stocks the Player with the lower percentage is the winner. In the event of a percentage tie or a match in which both Players lose their last stock simultaneously, a 1 stock tiebreaker will be played with a time limit equal to the regular time limit divided by the regular number of stocks, rounded up. The results of Sudden Death do not count.

Final Rulings If any unforeseen situations occur, the judgment of the TOs is final. Rules may be altered between sets of a tournament in the best interests of the event.
