Match Rules

Real-Time Ladder
  • Games in the Real-Time Ladder are played in real-time. Do not queue up for this unless you are able to play a single match to completion.
    • If something comes up mid-game, speak with your opponent immediately and come to a resolution of either forfeiting or resuming the game at a later time.
  • Turns should be ~5 minutes max through the game.
  • If your opponent has not taken their turn within 15 minutes then contact a TO and we will mark the match as a win for you and you will be able to leave the match and queue up again.
    • Contact a TO either in discord or by clicking “Request a Moderator” at the bottom of the smash.gg Match Chat.
    • Please attempt to contact your opponent before taking this step.

Tournament Rules

General Rules
  • Best of 1
  • Map Selection: The map pool for the ladder will be changing periodically, please check the Map Pool to see what the current one is.
    1. Each player selects 3 Maps from the Map Pool.
    • Each player bans 2 maps from their opponents list
    • Coin-flip to determine which player’s map is selected. ( Type t!coin in #ladder_discussion)
    • The winner of the coin-flip hosts the match with their selected Map.
      • All settings are set to default EXCEPT:
      • Weather: Always Sunny
      • Fog of War: Disabled (If both players agree, this may be enabled)
      • The player who did NOT select the map decides if they would like to be Player 1 or Player 2
  • Commander Selection: Any non-hidden Commander may be chosen.
  • Stalling: If you are in a position from which you simply cannot win, please forfeit the match. This rule will not be heavily enforced but it is very rude to your opponent and wastes their time. Just because you can survive another 10 turns, doesn't mean you should. This also applies to "toying" with your opponent when you clearly are winning. TOs will take action if there are multiple reports of this from any given player.
