Event Rules
RULES
General:
- This is an all ages event.
- This is a 1v1 singles double elimination tournament.
- This tournament will take place at the P1E Arena in Carmel, Indiana. (13644 N Meridian St, Carmel, IN 46032)
- P1E staff will be on site to run the tournament and assist with general questions, concerns, and technical issues.
- Singles bracket will start promptly at 6:00pm EST.
- You must check in at the front desk - otherwise you will be DQ.
Schedule:
- Doors Open: 5:00pm
- Bracket start: ~6:30pm
- Tournament will run until we have crowned a champion.
Registration:
- You must register on Smash.GG to enter the tournament.
- Total cost of entry for the tournament will be $10.
- $5 Venue Fee
- $5 Pot (Makes up the Prize Pool)
- Spectators = $5.
Platform:
- This tournament will be played on Nintendo Switch.
- We will provide TVs, Nintendo Switches, SSBU copies, and Gamecube controller adapters.
- You are welcome to bring your own controller, console, and/or adapter.
Format:
- This is a 1v1 singles tournament.

- Players will be seeded based off of their performances in previous events. (If you have recommendations or concerns, please contact P1E Squadfather!)
- Matches will be Best of 3 until Semi-Finals which and beyond (Which will be Best of 5)
Stage Rules:
- Rock-Paper-Scissors for First Stage Ban or First Port choice.
- Ban Order = P1-P2-P2-P1
- No DSR (Dave's Stupid Rule, or DSR, states that within a set, a player cannot counterpick a stage that they previously won on.)
- Hazards = Off
- Items = Off
- Round winner bans 3 stages and picks character first. (They may not change their character once selected.)
- Round loser chooses stage and picks character second.
- Starters:
- Battlefield
- Final Destination
- Pokemon Stadium 2
- Town and City
- Counter-Picks:
- Kalos Pokemon League
- Lylat Cruise
- Yoshi's Island (Brawl)
- Yoshi's Story
- Starters:
Reporting:
- Matches will be called by the TO and you will be directed to a station to play.
- Upon the conclusion of your matches, please report the results to the TO.
- False reporting will not be tolerated and result in a DQ and potential ban from future events.

- 1st - 60% of total prize pool.
- 2nd - 30% of total prize pool.
- 3rd - 10% of total prize pool.

Payout
- Tournament winners must provide Name, Address, Phone Number, Email Address to Tournament Organizer.
- Winnings will be paid out within 30 days of the event.
- Competitors who win >$600 will need to fill out a W-9 form.
- Winnings can be accepted in the following ways:
- Via Check (mailed to your door)
- Via PayPal (small transfer fee)
