A: These events are open to anyone! If it's your first time attending, you don't have to pay, after that, all you need is $3 for singles and a compatible controller of your choice. We allow wireless options; just remember to disconnect your controller before leaving the station. If you’re able to bring a Switch for the tournament that is also very appreciated as it helps the tournament run faster, and helps more people get more games in. Q: Can I leave to go get food between my sets? A: Just let the person calling the matches know that you’re going out for food and it more than likely will be fine. Make sure that you have their approval before you leave, otherwise you may accidentally be DQ'd. Q: I’m not able to make it to this event. When will the next one be? A: We hold tournaments every Sunday. Follow our social media for updates and reminders! As the winter season is upon us, we will also post for cancellations if necessary. Discord: Ask us for a link! Twitter: https://twitter.com/SmashBrosNS Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/SmashNS/ Q: I’m a little on the fence about showing up and am nervous. Is it worth showing up? A: Absolutely show up! No one cares if you’re the best player or the worst player. These events are meant for playing the game that we all hold the same passion towards. Q: I can’t show up until later than the event starts. What can I do? A: Let us know that you plan on showing up! If for example you plan on showing up for singles since it starts later but are not able to make it for doubles, make a post and we can register your name into the bracket. We cannot hold the spot for you indefinitely, so keeping communication with us is key. Have any other questions? Let us know and we’re more than happy to answer them!
