Event Rules

DATE & CHECK-IN

Saturday August 20st, 2022, 1:00PM PDT (Check-ins begin 1 hour before tournament start). Tournament length depends on number of participants.

​​FORMAT:

Sunset Series: TETR.IO is a single-elimination tournament. If you lose once, you will be disqualified. Matches are first-to-7 until the finals. In the finals, the match will be ft7, best-of-3.

​STREAMING

By playing in this event, you consent to being streamed on twitch.tv/ubcesports. The semi-finals and finals will all be streamed.

PLAYER CONDUCT

​Do not smurf by using an alternate account, by playing on another person's account, etc. If you are discovered to be conducting inappropriate behaviour, you will be disqualified. Players are allowed one first-to-1 warmup game before the match officially starts. Make sure your opponent has confirmed that they are ready before beginning your match. Refrain from making offensive comments to your opponent. Poor behaviour may result in disqualification if severe.

​DISPUTES/INTERRUPTIONS

If a player disconnects, the set will resume from the previous score, with an extra point given to the player who remained connected. If a dispute occurs between participants and a winner cannot be determined, the match will be replayed under staff supervision. If your opponent is not contactable for ten minutes, contact a staff member and they will be disqualified.

Tournament Rules

All participants are expected to abide by the UBC AMS' conduct policies. Interpretation and extent of rule coverage is entirely at the discretion of UBC Esports Association tournament organizers.
