Summary

empty bracket
There are currently no Brackets for this event.

DUE TO CERTAIN EVENTS, WE WILL BE HAVING ONLY THE OPTIONAL LAN AS THE EVENT ON THE 27TH. The in-person LAN is encouraged, but not required (you can tune in from home if need be!)

PRIZING: TBD

Game Format: All games must be played on the Summoner’s Rift Tournament Draft mode on the North American Server. Lobby: Please use the tournament code that is provided if there is one. In the case where there is not, we recommend having the roster page opened so you can invite the other team without asking for their Summoner names. The team that is seeded higher will create the lobby. Teams are given a 10 minute grace period to show up with 5 players. Teams are given an extra 5 minutes when the lobby is full to rearrange the pick order. The Lobby Host can start the game when both teams have indicated that they are ready in the lobby chat. Substitutions: Teams may only field players originally listed in their roster. No additional substitutions will be allowed. Teams may not bring in a substitute in the middle of a Best of 3 Teams using an illegal substitute will be disqualified. No-Show: If a team does not have 5 players after 10 minutes, they can choose to forfeit, or to play with the amount of players that have showed up. If the team chooses the forfeit, the winning team will report the win. Teams that do not report a win via forfeit and fail to produce proof of such will not be awarded a win in the bracket. To declare a win, take a screenshot of your full roster in the game lobby along with a forfeit message from the other team (if any), or the partially filled lobby. Gameplay

Disruption of Play Use the /pause and /unpause function to pause gameplay Disruptions include unintentional disconnections, instability of servers, physical harm and unavoided interferences with play. Each team is allowed to pause a game for a maximum of 15 minutes per game. This can be extended only if the opposing team agrees. At 15 minutes, the opposing team can unpause the game after informing all players in /all chat. In the case of games crashes, the team in the advantageous position can choose to recreate the game either with the same bans, picks and summoner spells, or a fresh game with new bans and picks. (The team in the advantageous position is determined by who has the gold lead when the game crashes) If a Qualifier Stage match cannot be played out due to server instability, an extension will be granted to all teams until the issues with instability have been resolved. If a Playoff match cannot be played out due to server instability, the match will be rescheduled to another date determined by Tournament Organizers Any stoppage of play resulting from server instability must be proven by third party sources such as Riot Games or forum posts. Disruptive Play: Players who resort to unfair play or misbehaviour will be immediately disqualified. This includes but is not limited to the following list. Excessive unsportsmanship Intentional disconnection without prior communication Colluding with another player or team Use of cheat programs such as map hacks Match Reporting

The winning team's captain will screenshot and post the post-game lobby in the #tournament-score-reporting channel in the UBC Esports Association Discord. Failure to produce a screenshot as proof of victory will forfeit your team's win and result in a 0:0 tie in the brackets Captains can report their team's score.
