Sonic isn't banned

Please check below for our network test and rules regarding it. But the short is a wired connection is preferred.

You are not allowed to watch stream while in a match, both due to latency concerns and because there will be commentary and that would be literal mid-set-coaching so don't do that.

Until top 8, all matches are 2 out of 3. Find your opponent in <#708055372199624856> , REMEMBER THAT YOUR NAME ON CHALLONGE AND DISCORD NEEDS TO BE THE SAME, change your nickname in server to avoid messing with your name otherwise.

Stage striking goes 1-2-2-1, which means whoever strikes first strikes a stage off the starter list, second then strikes two stages, and then back to the first who strikes a final time which leaves the stage of choice. Feel free to Gentlemen's to a stage if you like.

tl:dr 2 bans

After game 1, counter-pick becomes available. Winning players bans 2 stages, loser picks a stage. After picking a stage the winner may choose to swap characters, then the loser may also swap. Loser always swaps after winner. Repeat this until the set is complete!

There is no DSR or mDSR

If you wish to take a photo of your win or save the replay of your matches won, you can. This can be used if there is disagreement on who won.

Network test

When a lag test is requested, a TO will request that both players use https://speedtest.net/ and screenshot their results for comparison. When there are further connection issues, the TO will request that the wired player take the W over the WiFi Player. In the case that both players are wired, a final lag test with the TO will be performed where both players individually connect to the TO. We request that all players play wired, but realistically not everybody can. Please be aware that playing wirelessly will put you at a disadvantage compared to wired players and lag tests will reflect that.

We will advance a wired connection over a wireless in the event of lag. If you need to get wired but don't have a good method of connecting wired, check out Power Line Adapters.

Conduct

I expect players to be respectful. I don't give a fuck if you think Palutena takes no skills, say GG and move on. If you need to talk about your match or wanna have it critiqued, maybe hit me up for a VOD review on stream, privately, or in the weekly review video. But I have no problems kicking a player out for being rude to someone for their playstyle or character. It is the player's responsibility to learn the matchups and the playstyles. You go after a player for those things or anything that breaks the rules you are up for a DQ.. That being said, emotions happen and this game pushes mental hard. So feel free to take it to #tournament-thoughts-venting-discussion or #venting-prototype to let out any frustration or ask about what went wrong. We go over these post bracket so feel free to post the struggles in there.

The rest of the rules can be found in #rules and we expect them to be followed in bracket too. Even if you are new here
