Disconnection Rules
- If the disconnect occurred, in a situation in which victory was guaranteed (such as during a SA cinematic) that victory will be awarded to the player who was going to win.
- Otherwise, the players will set up a situation as close as possible to the round start before the disconnection. Same amount of round victories and similar amounts of super meter. If you and your opponent cannot agree on the situation, contact your TO.
- If a player disconnects multiple times during a match, then the opponent will be awarded the round in which the disconnect occurred.
- If a player is found to have disconnected on purpose, that player will be disqualified from the tournament and subject to a ban from tournaments until further notice.
Poor Connection Guidance
- In most circumstances, we ask that you play out your match. This tournament is open to players from North and Central America. As such, not everyone is going to have a perfect connection. In online tournaments there are many factors that are outside of anyone's control.
- That being said, Wifi is not allowed. If you notice your opponent is on Wifi, do not play your match until they get on a wired connection. If they can't switch at all or in a timely manner, they will be disqualified.
- If you believe your opponent does not have a connection worthy of playing in an online tournament, do not play the match. Stop your match and contact your TO. They will have both you and your opponent do a speedtest. If the speedtests from players are sufficient, you will be asked to complete your match.
- If a player is found to consistently have a bad connection with many opponents, they may be subject to a ban until they've proven to have a more solid connection.
