Update! 01/09/25
I am pleased to confirm that we will be having a leaderboard for the next four events (Sep/Oct/Nov/Dec) which means players that make the top 8, will be eligiable for points leading into a special event in January 2026 (TBC)! I have decided that points will be distrobuted to the top 8 of each tournament, rather than the top 4, more players means more variety overall!
So to sum up:
If you make top 8 for any of the three main games (Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8 and Guilty Gear: Strive), you will be awarded points based on the placing in the tournament. These are as follows:
1st 7 Points / 2nd 5 Points / 3rd 4 Points / 4th 3 Points / 5th-8th 1 Point
The 8 highest placing players on the Leaderboard by the end of December's event, will then be put into a Special Tournament to cap off the Season in January 2026! There will also be something very special for the finalists!
Any ties will be settled by the amount of games won difference, and Head to Head depending.
I have uploaded a video to Colchester Collision's YouTube channel, if you also wish to watch that (https://youtu.be/k4rOiJqOORE?si=O85Zp7N5Y8XX9a_p)
Update! 25/08/25
Starting from today, all future Colchester Collisions, will have an additional, free to enter tournament! This is what we call the Community Tournament. These will be free to enter, single elimination tournaments, that will put a spotlight on what could be seen as smaller, more niche, much older games. However, we always want a bit of variety in the games we support as a community, so here they will be given their time deserved! They will be streamed (providing time allows). In any case, our game for September is:
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising
You can join this tournament now, amending your registration in your settings!

A New Season Begins!
We are back again, and we are nearing the end of 2025. So it's time for a new era of Colchester Collision! This local group has gotten from strength to strength, with the help of this fantastic community. With every event, we are making minor tweeks and fine tuning everything, it's incredible to see, as it was mainly a group of three of us just wanting to play Fighting Games offline!
With this in mind, the top 4 players for each main game over the course of September, October, November and December, will battle it out in a very special event to commemorate the end of the season! More info soon...
We will be running our three main games again, Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8 and Guilty Gear: Strive, all with streams (after we were able to run the streams well last month). In addition there are casual setups throughout the day to play those games, plus a potential surprise community tournament! More on that soon!
Please read on for everything you need to know about Colchester Collision #3!

Our event in Colchester, Essex aims to provide a fun setting for fighting games within the local community. This is all done completely grassroots and with help from some members of the community! Please look after any equipment, show respect and care to everybody in attendance, and especially the venue for helping us put this on. Failure to do will result in ejection from the venue and will be banned from any future events!
The venue is a board gaming cafe, named Dice & a Slice, located in Colchester town. It's a great little venue that has food and drink, and in general a nice little hub for the gaming (as a whole) community. Please, check out their website for more information! It is near to one of Colchester's train station, the bus station, and then it is a small walk from the other Colchester station. Please check your travel situation before hand!
PLEASE NOTE, NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK IS ALLOWED
As mentioned, our second Colchester Collision, will bring together the three biggest games in the FGC. Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6 and Guilty Gear: Strive. These will be standard double elimination tournaments, with an additional fee to play in. I have capped these at 64 players each, due to spacing in the venue. You will be required to check in/have paid within the last 30 minutes leading up to the said tournament. As we only have limited time, I do want to make sure the tournaments are run smoothly and in good time. Please make sure you have read the rules regarding these.
Opening time is 11:00am, with tournaments starting shortly after. We will be closing at around 6:30pm.
There will be a mix of consoles and setups. With the main games being Tekken 8, Guilty Gear: Strive and Street Fighter 6.
In the case that we hit over 16 players for Tekken 8, then it will be elgiable to become a Dojo event for the Tekken World Tour! We were able to do this a few months ago and would be superb if we could get this again! Stay tuned! In line with this, the official rules for the Tekken World Tour 2025 (TWT) can be found below:
https://www.bandainamcoent.com/legal/community-events/official-rules-twt
Please remember to BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLERS/PADS/STICKS/ADAPTERS/HEADPHONES!
Not EVERY setup will contain DLC characters, if you wish to use a DLC character, please make this known before the set, and we will arrange for you to be put on a setup that has those characters available!
Entry fee for the event, will be £8. This is to cover for the use of the venue. This will be paid at the venue on the day, either in cash or by Paypal/Bank Transfer directly to me (again on the day). THERE IS NO ADVANCE PAYMENT, so please prepare appropriately. This time, we will be having an extra amount to be paid for the tournaments, at the cost of £4 per game. This means we can have an actual prize pool for the three games, with a 60/30/10 split for 1st/2nd/3rd respectively. Any excess monies will be used in purchasing DLC/Games/Equipment/etc in order to keep growing our local community!
Any questions, do not hesitate to give me a shout on Twitter/X or email me! Would love to hear from you!
Casual play on the setups when a tournament isn't in progress.
Let's carry on getting Essex on the map in the FGC, and hopefully this can be more of a regular thing!
