# Cooperation Cupについて
 ゲームニュートンと STREET FIGHTER III 3rd STRIKE のコミュニティが主催する、大規模5on5チーム戦大会です。   

2002年、当時東京町田にあったゲームセンター「ビートライブ」で初開催、その後は東京板橋の「ゲームニュートン」と交互に開催しながら規模を拡大、ゲームセンター店舗での開催が不可能になるほどの盛り上がりを見せました。  

近年でも、2018年には東京浅草橋のヒューリックホールで開催、その後は「DreamHack Japan 2023」とのコラボで幕張メッセ開催、と話題に事欠きません。日本全国のみならず、世界中からプレイヤーが集結する「3rd STRIKE 」シーンを語るうえで欠かせない大会となっています。

# About Cooperation Cup
Cooperation Cup is a large-scale 5-on-5 team battle tournament organized by Game Newton and the STREET FIGHTER III 3rd STRIKE community.  

First held in 2002 at the ""Beat-Tribe"" arcade in Machida, Tokyo, the event alternated with ""Game Newton"" in Itabashi, Tokyo, as its venue, growing in scale each year. The tournament eventually reached a level of popularity that made hosting it in arcade venues impossible.  

In recent years, the event has continued to make headlines, including being held at Hulic Hall in Asakusabashi, Tokyo, in 2018, and later as part of a collaboration with DreamHack Japan 2023 at Makuhari Messe.
This tournament has become a cornerstone of the 3rd STRIKE scene, attracting players not only from across Japan but also from around the world.

# VFR BEAT-TRIBE CUPについて
バーチャファイターのコミュニティ団体『VFR（Virtua Fighter Relationship）』が主催する全国規模の5on5団体戦です。  

前身である「アテナ杯」の第1回大会が1994年に開催されており、前回2023年開催の「第18回ビートライブカップ」で29年目を迎える、国内でも有数の歴史を持つ大会です。  

日本全国を7エリア（北海道・東北／関東／東京／中部・東海／関西／中国・四国／九州）に分け、各エリアの地域を背負った代表チームがプライドを掛けて戦う『地域対抗』が特徴のひとつで、アーケード環境が減少した現在においても地域色を楽しむ文化はバーチャファイタープレイヤーの間ではいまだ人気があります。  

# About VFR BEAT-TRIBE CUP
VFR BEAT-TRIBE CUP is a national-scale 5-on-5 team tournament organized by the Virtua Fighter community group VFR (Virtua Fighter Relationship).  

The tournament traces its origins back to the first Athena Cup held in 1994, making it one of Japan’s most historically significant tournaments. The 2023 18th Beat-Tribe Cup marked its 29th year, solidifying its legacy in the fighting game community.  

One of the tournament’s unique features is its regional rivalry format. Japan is divided into seven regions (Hokkaido/Tohoku, Kanto, Tokyo, Chubu/Tokai, Kansai, Chugoku/Shikoku, and Kyushu), with representative teams from each area competing to defend their local pride.  

Despite the decline in arcade environments, the appreciation for regional representation and identity remains strong among Virtua Fighter players, making this tournament a celebrated tradition in the community.

Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike

Street Fighter III 3rd Strike: Fight for the Future is a 2D competitive fighting game produced by Capcom originally released for the arcade in 1999. It is the second follow-up to Street Fighter III, following Street Fighter III 2nd Impact. Like its predecessors, it runs on the CP System III hardware. 3rd Strike increased the character roster by adding five new characters, including Chun-Li. It also added further refinements to the previous game's play mechanics and rules. It was ported to the Dreamcast, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. A downloadable online version titled Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition was released on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade in August 2011.
