Event Rules
Ruleset: Current North America Ultimate ruleset for stocks, timer, stage list, and DSR. Coaching: One minute between games maximum. Controller policy: Disconnect wireless controllers after each set. Pausing: Stock loss unless both players and TO agree otherwise. Tardiness: 5 minute grace, then TO may advance the bracket.

Timer & Stocks
- Timer: 7 minutes
- Stocks: 3 stocks per game
Character & Stage Declarations
- Players must declare characters before stage bans.
- If there is a concern about counterpicking, a double blind pick may be requested from the tournament organiser (TO).
Stage List
Starter Stages (available for Game 1 and as counterpicks):
- Battlefield
- Final Destination
- Town & City
- Small Battlefield
- Hollow Bastion
Counterpick Stages (only available after Game 1):
- Pokémon Stadium 2
- Smashville
- Kalos Pokémon League
Stage Selection Procedure
Determine First Stage:
- Players perform Rock–Paper–Scissors (RPS) to decide who bans first for Game 1.
- RPS winner bans one starter stage.
- RPS loser bans two of the remaining starter stages.
- RPS winner chooses the first stage from the remaining starters.
Between Games:
- After each game, the winner states whether they will change character.
- Then the loser states whether they will change character.
Counterpick Stages:
- The winner bans two stages from the entire stage list (all starters and counterpicks).
- The loser selects the next stage from the remaining legal stages.
- Counterpick clause: A player cannot select a stage they most recently won on in the set.
