FGC: All fighting games have rules determined by Derek, listed on the individual games rules pages, with additional rules below

Some general rules for those participating in the FGC events:

Side Selection

Players may mutually agree who plays on the left and right side, corresponding to Player 1 and Player 2 respectively. If Players cannot agree, the higher seeded player picks their side.

Permitted Controllers

All standard fight sticks and controllers are permitted. Macro functions (e.g. turbo buttons) and wireless controllers other than DualShock 4 are not permitted.

Punctuality

All Players must be physically present by the Match start time. Players that are not ready to play within ten (10) minutes of the Match start time are subject to penalties including a possible Match forfeiture.

Please remember to de-sync controllers before your matches. If a match is interrupted by a controller sending the console to the profile select screen:

  • That is the fault of the current players at the console, not the owner of that controller.

  • If possible, the players should continue their match. If the disruption is severe, the match should be replayed.

If a match is paused accidentally, the player that paused said match will lose the current round. Matches can be decided by default this way.

If a controller/fight stick malfunctions, the player affected can pause their match. They will forfeit the current round. Once replacement equipment is obtained, the player is given the rest of the round to configure their buttons and test the new equipment. In the event the Tournament Organizer determines that the affected player gained an undue advantage by doing so (e.g. charging an abundance of super meter), the Tournament Organizer may, in their discretion, require the player to forfeit the Game.

If suitable replacement hardware cannot be found within five minutes, they must finish their match with the existing hardware, or forfeit that match.

Prizes

Prizing subject to change based on the number of entrants. In general, we go for:

1st - 60%

2nd - 30%

3rd - 10%
