Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Tournament Settings:

• 150cc
• No Teams
• All Items
• Hard COM
• All Vehicles
• Random Courses
• Smart Steering Off
• Tilt Controls Optional
• Auto-Accelerate Optional
• Number of races per match will be determined on the day of the tournament but will likely be between 2-4 races per match depending on the round

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Tournament Bracket Overview:

• Each match will contain 4 players with the top 2 moving on
• The winners of each match are determined by the points the game gives after each race, COMs will be ignored if they happen to rank higher than the top two players
• We are using a double elimination bracket so any players knocked out of the tournament will be added to the lower bracket and given a second chance to win the tournament
  • As such for someone to be eliminated entirely, they would need to lose two matches
  • Because we are using a double-elimination bracket, PLEASE ensure that you have been fully eliminated before leaving the tournament room
• Each participant must be present in the room when one of their matches is happening, if a player is not present they will be disqualified

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Tournament Rules:

• Each player is a solo participant, outside help is not allowed
• Inhibiting or purposefully distracting another player is also not allowed
• No using controllers that have been purposefully modified to give an advantage
• Please be respectful of everyone and show sportsmanship
• The tournament organizer can use their discretion to determine if something is a rule violation
