TOURNAMENT RULES

• Game Platform: PlayStation 5
• Double Elimination
• Tournament Settings: Default (except for the Stream Station which will use Preset 1)
• In-Battle Status Settings: On
• Rounds: First to Three (3) to win a Set
• Matches: First to Two (2) Set wins
• Winners Finals, Losers Semis, Losers Finals and Grand Finals will be First to Three (3)
• Time Limit: 60 seconds
• Character Customizations: OFF
• Character Preset Costumes are legal for Tournament use.
• Players cannot use the same Preset. Should both Players wish to use the same Preset, they will play a Best-of-1 Rock-Paper-Scissors tiebreaker supervised by the Game Marshal to determine who may use their preferred Preset Costume for the duration of the Match.
• If a Character Customization or one of the above listed Presets that cannot be used are used, the Match is subject to not being scored. Players are responsible for immediately finishing the Match with one (1) Player holding forward for the remainder of the rounds to quickly return to the lobby and restart the Match.
• Stage Selection: Random
• Winner of prior game must keep same character
• Loser of prior game player can choose between selecting Stage Select and choosing a new randomly selected stage or returning to Character Select to pick a new character and a new randomly selected stage.

COACHING RULES

• Players may designate one (1) individual to be their coach during a Match.
• Coaching will only be allowed for the Player that lost the previous Set.
• Players may consult with the coach only one (1) time for the Match.
• Players may consult with the coach for a maximum of one (1) minute.
• Coaching while a Set is in play is not allowed and is subject to Set forfeiture.
• If a rule violation occurs, a Player can notify a Tournament Organizer.
• Marshals may issue a warning for any rule violations.
• Failure to adhere to coaching rules after a warning from the Marshal will result in forfeiting the next Set.
