General

• Participants are required to provide their own controller to play.
• AZ Rivals is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property.
• AZ Rivals reserves the right to remove individuals displaying inappropriate behavior.
• All rules and mandates listed in the details section above will apply for all events.

Rivals of Aether

• Heat Wave 7 will operate under the RCS Season 8 rules.

Singles:

• Pools will be Double Elimination format that feed into a final Double Elimination bracket for those who advance out.
• Players who lose in certain rounds of pools (determined by total event entrants and size of pools) will be sorted into Amateur and Intermediate tournaments that consist of Round Robin pools (placements decided by set wins > head-to-head > game wins) leading into final Double Elimination brackets.

Doubles:

• Double Elimination bracket; Best-of-3 leading into a Best-of-5, following the RCS Season 8 format.

Rivals 2

STAGES

• Starters: Aetherian Forest, Julesvale, Merchant Port, Godai Delta, Hodojo
• Counterpicks: Hyperborean Harbor, Rock Wall, Air Armada, Tempest Peak, Fire Capital

COUNTERPICK PROCEDURE

• Winner declares character, loser picks character after.
• Winner bans 2 stages.
• DSR: You may not pick a stage you've won on.
