Tournament Rules

Location: 100 S. Clinton Avenue Parking Info

All Brackets are Double Elimination or round robin

Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6, and 2XKO will be played on PC

Uni 2 and Strive will be played on PS5

Smash Ultimate will be played on a mix of Switch 1 and Switch 2. Switch 2 setup availability is not guaranteed, make sure to bring a controller compatible with Switch 1

Melee will be played mainly on wii

64 will be played on N64s

Controllers used must not use advanced system macros or break SOCD compliance. Please be aware that while we try to provide converter, we do not have enough for all players, and may not have one for your controller set-up.

2D and 3D Fighters: Controllers will need to be wired for all tournament play. PS5s and PCs will have bluetooth disabled.

Platform Fighters: If your controller is found to be the cause of disruption to the tournament (mid-game or otherwise), you are subject to complete disqualification from the event. You are HIGHLY encouraged to wire your controllers because they will get heavy interference during larger tournaments. Disconnect or disassemble wireless controllers after matches to prevent accidental reconnects.

PC setups do not have the ability for 2 people to play on keyboard at the same time. As such, if 2 people attempt to play on keyboard at the same time, both will need to find another controller option, for fairness of both entrants.

Be sure to listen to TO's for game information and score reporting.

Matches will be streamed, if you don't want to be on, please let a TO know when you are called.

Please be respectful of players, venue, and our volunteers. We want everyone to feel welcome and accepted in this community

Make sure to be present when your bracket starts. If a TO is not able to find you, after a 15 minute grace period, you will be double eliminated from the bracket. Please reach out via 585FighterZ discord if you are running late so we may try to accommodate.

There is a zero tolerance policy on the use of vapes and e-cigarettes and alcohol consumption in the venue.

Please follow the guidelines of the Great Lakes Gaming Lounge venue.

The employees of Great Lake Gaming Lounge as well as the leadership of 585FighterZ have final say for all rules. Ejection from venue may not result in refund of fees.

If any unforeseen situations occur, judgment of Tournament Staff/TO is FINAL. Rules may be altered between phases of a tournament in the best interests of the event. (Example: A game breaking glitch is discovered on a stage mid-tournament that could be exploited. Thus, the stage may need to be removed from legal play for the remainder of the event.)

Games or sets are not to be replayed due to a misinterpretation of the rules OR misconfiguration of game settings. Game settings should be configured according to the rules listed above. It is the players’ responsibilities to ask the TO for any clarification of the rule set in the event of a disagreement, and the outcome of a game or set will not be changed after the fact unless under extreme circumstances, judgment reserved for tournament staff.
