Event Rules
General Rules
  • Double elimination
  • FT2 (Top 3 is FT3)
  • Legal Stages: Gym, Beach and Inner World
    • Both players can agree on a stage to play OR
    • Both players ban one stage and play in the remaining one
  • Winner must keep the same characters
  • Loser can switch characters OR stage
    • When you switching, the old stage is banned for the rest of the set
  • Purposefully causing a glitch will result in insta-DQ (stun locks, etc)
BANS
  • Using DIVE during blockstun is BANNED
  • Canceling Emergency Exit with a Rising Action is BANNED
  • Infinite Blockstrings are BANNED

Prize Pool Splits
  • Top 3 split up to $1000 (60%/25%/15%)
  • Top 8 split after $1000 (50%/20%/10%/8%/5%/5%/1%/1%)

Tournament Rules

Universal Rules

Discord

  • Every member must be a part of the AGC Discord server.
  • All communication is through Discord.
  • Your start.gg name must match your AGC Discord name.

Check ins

  • There will be no check ins
  • Failing to reply or play a match 5 minutes after being pinged results in DQ.

Wifi and Connection Issues

  • Wifi is banned. You are required to use an ethernet cable on all tournaments.
  • TOs may choose to DQ if they find your connection problematic for other players, even with ethernet.
  • No account sharing, each player may only use one account.
  • It's an online tournament. Perfect conditions are not expected.

If a rule is broken...

  • STOP PLAYING IMMEDIATELY and contest with a TO.
  • If you choose to play the game and only complain afterwards, that game will count, regardless of the broken rule
