📝 Tournament/Showcase Overview

General Information

• The tournament will run on ONE machine from 2–5 PM EST.
• Player cap: 24 (first come, first serve).
• Waitlist available if the cap is reached.
• Note: Dancerush starts at 2 PM, while Pump It Up and DDR start at 3 PM.

🎥 Recording & Consent (VERY IMPORTANT)

• All performances and results will be recorded (front and back cameras).
• By registering, you consent to being recorded and having your performance uploaded to YouTube.
• Contact Meepston for raw footage or final video links.

🧮 Scoring Rules

Judge Score

• Based on choreography, freestyle, and theme fit.
• Each judge scores 0–10 (rounded to nearest 0.5).
• Average × 10 = final judge score (max 100.0).
• Scores are private, but feedback is available upon request.

In-Game Score

• Based on machine score (max 100.000).
• 0.000 if life meter runs out.

Final Score

• 70% Judge Score + 30% In-Game Score
• Rounded to 1 decimal place, max 100.0

Tie-Breaker Order:

1. Higher Judge Score
2. Number of PERFECTs
3. Number of GREATs

🎭 Costume/Prop Usage

• General Otakon Policies

• NO boots/heels on the cab — change shoes or be disqualified.

• NO dangerous prop use — be mindful of crowd and machine proximity.

⏰ Check-In Policy

• Check-in starts 1:30 PM.
• Be checked in by 2 PM.
• Two calls:
  • 1:30–2 PM (primary check-in)
  • During performance call (last chance)

🎶 Tournament/Showcase Format

All performances must be played on Light Mode — NOT Premium Mode.

Preliminary Round (Max 24 Players)

• Freestyle performance of 1 song (difficulty 6–10).
• Top 4 players advance based on final score.

Final Round – Top 4

• Freestyle performance of 1 song (Normal difficulty 8–10).
• Final placements based on final score.

💡 Note: Song availability may vary depending on the cab version (Eagle private server as of March 31, 2024).
Try the machine beforehand to check available songs.
