Otakufest’s Tekken Tournament 2026
I. General
This competition is open to all participants aged 13 and above.
Participants under the age of 18 are required to accomplish a parental consent form duly signed by their parent/s or guardian. Please send the accomplished form to [email protected].
By joining Otakufest 2026’s Tekken Tournament, participants accept and agree to be bound by the official mechanics of the competition. Any violation, at the organizers’ discretion, may result in disqualification.
Participants are responsible for all expenses incurred while participating in the competition.
Players must maintain a friendly and polite demeanor among their fellow participants and the organizers and are expected to compete with sportsmanship. Cheating and trash-talking are strictly prohibited.
Players who are caught bullying, degrading, physically hurting, harassing/sexually harassing, distracting, and threatening another player shall be automatically disqualified from the tournament. Participants witnessing such behavior are required to inform the organizers immediately. In-Game Names must not be offensive and obscene. Players with such IGN will be requested to change it; otherwise, they will not be allowed to register.
Players who damage consoles and fight sticks/controllers are obliged to replace the damaged peripherals. This obligation extends to consoles and fight sticks/controllers that belong to the organizers or other participants.
There is a registration fee of PHP 150 to be sent to Rocket Punch Gaming Cafe via GCash 09954383751. Upon filling up the registration form, participants will be receiving confirmation of their participation.
II. Rules
The tournament will be held in Rocket Punch Gaming Cafe, with the Top 8 finals to be held in Otakufest 2026. Participants must first complete the registration form found here.
All participants must be physically present at the specified location by the Match start time. Participants not ready to play within fifteen (15) minutes of the Match start time may face penalties, including possible Match forfeiture.
In-game Rules
Every match will be in Best of 3 (Race to 2) format; except for Winners Finals, Losers Semis, Losers Finals, and Grand Finals, which are Best of 5 (Race to 3)Winner’s Side has a Twice-to-Beat advantage.Start.gg will be used for bracketing.

Character Preset Costumes are Tournament Legal
Players cannot use the same Preset Costume. If both players wish to use the same Preset Costume, they will play a Best-of-Three Rock-Paper-Scissors to determine who may use their preferred Preset Costume for the Match duration.
Side Selection
Players may mutually agree on sides (Player 1 and Player 2) at the start of the Match. Players are committed to this selection throughout the Match. If agreement isn't reached, a Best-of-Three Rock-Paper-Scissors will determine the side for the first Round. The winner selects sides for subsequent Rounds and Matches.
Permitted Controllers
All standard arcade sticks and controllers are permitted. Macro functions (e.g. turbo buttons) are not permitted. Players using DualShock controllers must unsync their controller after each Match. Failure to do so may result in disqualification at the organizers' discretion.
Match Disruptions
Pauses: If a player intentionally or accidentally pauses the game, the pausing player may forfeit the current round as per the organizers' discretion.
Restarts: Organizers may order a Game or Match restart due to exceptional circumstances or disruptions caused by Force Majeure.
Stalling: Excessively delaying the Game or Match may result in a forfeit at the discretion of Tournament Organizers.
Cheating: Any cheating, as determined by the organizers, will result in immediate forfeiture and additional penalties depending on the severity of the infraction.
Penalties: Players who break the rules are subject to penalties, including match restart, loss of game or round, and match forfeiture or disqualification.
Forfeits Players may not voluntarily forfeit a Match without prior authorization from the organizers.
