Scoring

Earn 1 point if: Your opponent fails to return the ball. The ball doesn’t hit your side of the table. Your opponent hits the ball into the net or out of bounds. A legal serve: Ball bounces once on your side and once on your opponent’s side. No Let: If the serve hits the net but lands on the opponent's side, it's replayed.

Let Serve

A serve that touches the net but lands correctly is replayed ("Let").

Edge Ball

If the ball touches the top edge of the table and is otherwise legal, it counts as a valid shot.

Coin Toss

A coin toss (or similar random method) determines who serves first. The winner chooses either: First serve. Side of the table.

Winning

A game is played to 11 points, and you must win by at least 2 points. If tied at 10-10, alternate serves every 1 point until a player leads by 2 points. Matches are typically best 2 out of 3 games or best 3 out of 5 games.
