Event Rules
Format:
- Saturday Play-Ins:
- Best of 1 (Bo1)
- Double elimination brackets
- Maximum 16 teams per bracket
- Maximum top 8 teams move on to Sunday finals (i.e. 4 from winners and 4 from losers bracket)
- Sunday Finals:
- Single elimination brackets
- Best of 3 (Bo3)
- All matches must be observable and have at least a 1-minute in-game delay.
- Game setup:
- Observable
- 1 minute observer delay minimum, 5 minute maximum
- Biome selection up to player creating the custom game. "Enchanted Grove" biome is banned.
- Map size "Small" (4 Players size)
- Teams Together.
- Map restarts:
- Each team has 1 restart for crashes before the 10-minute mark.
- Each team has 1 restart per series for map generation before the 3-minute mark.
- If any crashes happen after 10 minutes, the replay will be reviewed with the following potential outcomes:
- If both teams have a player crash: A restart is made.
- If the Advantaged team had a player crash: The team is entitled to a restart.
- If the disadvantaged team has a player crash: The team is given a loss.
- If the state of advantage is unclear: The map is deemed a draw and a new map & civilizations draft is made.
Player Limitations:
Each bracket will be broken up to pool teams within a similar ranked Elo range together. This might mean players initially pooled in one bracket will be moved to another.
There is no maximum ranked Elo.
Maps:
- Map Pool: Dry Arabia, Waterholes, The Pit, King of the Hill, Jousting Fields, Prairie, Baltic.
- For Bo1, each team takes turns banning maps until one remains. That map will be played.
- For Bo3, each team first picks a "home map", then takes turns banning the remaining maps until one remains. That map will be the tiebreaker.
- Maps cannot be repeated in Bo3 - 3 unique maps much be chosen from the pool.
- Top seeded team picks home map first.
- Top seeded team's home map is played first, followed by opposing team's map.
Civilizations:

- Bo1 :
- Teams ban 1 civilization each away from the opposing team.
- Teams choose their first civilization.
- Teams choose their second civilization.
- Bo3 (only for finals):
- Same draft as above.
- After each map, a new draft is made.
- Teams can draft one but not both civilizations they have already won within the series (i.e. you can't play the same set of civs at the same time your team won a round with).
Added Rules:
- Stone Walls are not allowed at Age 2. Stone Wall Towers are not allowed at all.
- Using any type of third party software is disallowed.
- Any other form of glitch/bug exploration is disallowed.
- Players must play on their highest ranked account. Smurfing will result in disqualification and potentially a ban.
