The Team Battle event will follow the 2025 Tekken World Tour Official Rules unless overridden by the rules below.

Bracket Format

• The tournament follows a Double Elimination format:
  • All teams start in the Upper Bracket.
  • Teams that lose a match in the Upper Bracket move to the Lower Bracket.
  • Teams that lose a match in the Lower Bracket are eliminated.

Matches

All matches will be played in Best of One (1) format except for the following matches, which will be played in Best of Three (3) format:

• Winners Finals
• Losers Finals
• Grand Finals

Teams

• Each team consists of 3 players, each assigned one character.
• Example:
  • Team 1: Jin, Kazuya, Heihachi
  • Team 2: Lars, Alisa, Lee

Match Order

• Both teams submit their match order secretly to the marshal before the matches begins.
• Matches are played as follows:
  • Match 1: Player A1 vs Player B1 (1 point)
  • Match 2: Player A2 vs Player B2 (1 point)
  • Match 3: Player A3 vs Player B3 (2 points)

Scoring & Win Conditions

• Total of 4 points possible per team match.
• The first team to reach 3 points wins the team match.

Tiebreaker Rules

A 4th match (tiebreaker) is played only if:

• Each team has 2 points after three matches.
  • Players who competed in Match 3 are ineligible to play in the tiebreaker.
  • Each team selects one of the remaining two players for the tiebreaker.
  • The winner of the tiebreaker wins the team match.

Sample Scenario

The teams are as follows:

• Team 1: Jin, Kazuya, Heihachi
• Team 2: Lars, Alisa, Lee

After the orders are presented to the marshal, the players will play the following matches:

• Match 1: Jin vs Lee (1pt)
• Match 2: Heihachi vs Alisa (1pt)
• Match 3: Kazuya vs Lars (2pts)

If Jin and Heihachi from Team 1 win their matches, and if Lars from Team 2 wins his match, a fourth match will be played as a tiebreaker. Players of the third match cannot play in the tiebraker.

Otherwise, if Jin from Team 1 and Alisa from Team 2 win their matches, the third and last match will be the deciding match for the set.
