Picks and Bans
Track Selection
- Picks and bans will work on a Striking system
- Players will both roll in #referee-den, highest roll gets pick of first or second ban
- The Referee will then provide a list of charts, i.e. “The Map Pool”
- Players will take turns banning a chart until one chart is left, this will be the chart for the first match
- The loser of each match picks the next chart until there is a winner
- Once the track is decided, the Referee will proceed to check that both players and the Broadcaster are ready to proceed
- Players will be notified at this stage if there are any issues with their stream
Gameplay / Sportsmanship
- When you have completed a chart, stay on the results screen until told by a referee that you are okay to move on
- Unnecessary toxicity will result in an immediate DQ
- In the event that a player changes their in-game settings to something unreasonable, they will be DQ’d
- In the event that a player pauses their game, that player will receive a warning for their first infraction. Any subsequent pauses during a match will result in a point loss
- In the event that a player restarts or quits out on a song, they will receive an immediate point loss
Referee / Tournament Organiser Decisions
- Any decision made by a TO or Referee is final. Arguing with an official following their decision will result in at least one of the following actions being taken:
- Official warning
- Disqualification from the SSSO
- In the event of severe misconduct, further actions outside of the tournament may be taken, such as:
- Bans from subsequent events
- Kick or ban from SpinShare
Discrepancies
- In the event of a tie or double fail in any round, a random selection will be made from charts within the current tier, excluding all charts in the active match pool.
- In the event of a hardware lag-spike (visible to those spectating) that causes a noticeable score difference, the player who experienced the lag spike can choose to replay the round, with the other player being allowed to do a second run and take the higher of their scores
- Only one lag-reset per song, per player is permitted
- In the event that a player has an incorrect or outdated chart, they will be permitted one reset per match, any further incorrect charts in a match will result in an immediate point loss
- In the event that a player is unable to stream their matches, they will be DQ’d from the tourney after being given adequate time to resolve issues
- In the event that a player cannot make the next round of the tournament due to scheduling, a deciding match will be replayed between previously eliminated contenders
