Fortnite 2v2 Boxfight Tournament

This event will be taking place at the TAP ESPORTS CENTER in Philadelphia 904 Cherry St, Philadelphia, PA 19107

$25 per player ($10 towards venue and $15 towards prize pool) ($50 a duo) First come first seated. PAY ONLINE TO BE GUARANTEED A SPOT. Spectators are free to watch

32 slots (16 teams) are available at the location.

This will be a PC Only event

Players are allowed to bring their own peripherals (Headset, controller, mouse, keyboard, etc.)

2 players per team (once paid you cannot switch teammates)

Only using Clix’s Boxfight map ISLAND CODE (7620-0771-9529)

Payouts will be going to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Prize pool is determined on how many participants. Example: if all 32 slots are taken prize pool will be 1st place $300, 2nd place $120, 3rd place $60 split between the winning teams.

Your game will be recorded through OBS throughout the event to rewatch if there is cheating or glitches that occurred during the match.

Tournament Rules

Two teams are linked together in the bracket. The linked players start a CREATIVE match, then one player will load up Clix’s Boxfight Map. They must first be together in the lobby to start the match. After entering the map, one team switches to team 2 while the other remains in team 1. Then start the match and begin.

The teams will play a game first to 5 win by 2.
Win by 2 means if the score is tied up 4-4, whichever team wins 2 in a row first, continues to the next round while the losing team is eliminated or goes to the losers bracket. (Losers Bracket is like a redemption where you will compete against other teams that have lost and can still have a shot for first place.) Once entered in the losers bracket it'll be first to 3 win NO WIN BY 2 to make the game even more fast pace for the losers and intense since every round will count.

If any time during the match, a glitch or error occurs, please report to a staff member and we will review the VODs and decide if it is sufficient enough for a redo of the match Example : Spawn with no guns or can’t jump/crouch/build

Players must be in discord with their teammates and have push to talk on in fortnite game chat Only communicate to other team during the game if there is a glitch or error that needs to pause the match.

Players may NOT pre wall over the barrier during the grace period. If caught, will result in redoing the match and if second offense you will be disqualified.

It is forbidden to disadvantage your opponents (your opponents who you are linked with in the tournament bracket) on purpose. Examples: Talk in game chat to other team and make it difficult for them to hear coms. PRE WALLING OVER BARRIER DURING 5 SECOND GRACE PERIOD ANYTHING to give yourself an advantage over your opponent (including cheats or clients that are not allowed in Epic Game’s Terms of Services) will instantly result in a disqualification for your team.
