WELCOME TO DRAFT PICK SQUAD STRIKE

Draft Pick was created to; Give new serious players a chance to catch up in game knowledge , Give Veterans something fresh and competitive to strive for and Even give the Viewers / Spectators something entertaining to watch!

This mode is designed in a way that every set should feel different and not repetitive. You WILL see different stages and characters every set.

With that said, please review the rules below!

[Draft Pick] Squad Strike Rules:

COACHING ALLOWED

  • Coaching may only happen BEFORE or AFTER a game not DURING
  • You may refuse to have coach
  • Anyone available may coach (Max. 1 Coach )

Coaching is both helpful and makes strategy building interesting

GETTING STARTED

Players must do the following in this order;

#1 ) Both Players Choose 3 Stage Perma Bans Each. STARTERS ARE IMMUNE. (Perma Bans are active until current set completes/ Grands Reset counts as a new set.)

#2 ) R/P/S to decide Character Pick AND Strike Priority

#3 ) Winner of R/P/S Strikes 3 starters , Loser Chooses Stage

#4 ) Winner of R/P/S gets 1st Character Pick Priority

DRAFT PICK NOTES

  • CHOOSE WISELY… Any characters chosen by either player are BANNED until Set Completes

  • NO RANDOM ALLOWED

  • THESE CHARACTERS AND THEIR ECHOES COUNT AS THE SAME CHARACTER; Peach/Daisy Samus/Dark Samus Simon/Richter

  • Character picking follows the 1-2-2-1 Rule. For example: Player with Character Pick Priority chooses 1st character, Player 2 chooses 2 , Player 1 Chooses 2 , Player 2 Chooses last

  • Winner of Previous game Strikes 3 stages. Loser decides Stage AND gets 1st Character Pick Priority. FULL DSR

  • If Set reaches a Grands Reset then the available stages INCLUDING Perma Banned Stages reset

  • Characters do NOT Reset on Grands Reset! (Possible to see 60 Characters!)

STAGES

  • FULL DSR (You can’t play on the same stage regardless of who won on or lost). FULL DSR Resets on Grands Reset.

Stages are important in this format. This is why there are 17 Total Stages which include:

  • Battlefield
  • Town & City
  • Final Destination / Omega
  • Hollow Bastion
  • Yggdrasil

Counter Picks

  • Unova
  • Smashville
  • Kalos
  • Warioware
  • Lylat
  • Castle Siege
  • Frigate Orpheon
  • Skyloft
  • Halberd
  • Yoshis Island
  • Yoshis Story

Tournament Rules

1.) DISCONNECT PRO CONTROLLERS. Any interruption to a player mid match will result in a DQ for the disrupter. If the disrupter is not in bracket that person will instead be Temporarily BANNED.

2.) All Players get a 7 Minute MAX Timer after having match called. If a player doesn’t go to their match they will be DQ’d.
