General Rules

• PlayStation 4 | Bring Your Own Controller
  
• Double Elimination
  
• Tournament Mode Default Settings
  
• 3/5 Rounds per Game
  
• 2/3 Games per Set
  
• 3/5 Games for Winners, Losers & Grand Finals
  
• Random stage select for Game 1
  
• Winner of prior game must keep same character
  
• Loser of prior game may switch stage (with same character) or switch character (with random stage)
  
• If both players want to use the same player side they will play a 2/3 Rock-Paper-Scissors to decide who gets the preferred side.

Costumes

• Preset costumes are allowed, however non-preset customizing of colors, names, or items at any time before or during a tournament match is not allowed. Any player that does so will be given a loss.
• The following preset costumes are not allowed in tournament: Jack-7 Preset 3, Jack-7 Preset 4, Gigas Preset 3
• 2 players cannot use the same preset costume during a game. If players want to use the same Preset Costume they will play a 2/3 Rock-Paper-Scissors to decide who gets the preferred costume selection.
