General Ruleset
- Double Elimination Bracket
- Sets are Best of 3 until the Top 3 where they are Best of 5.
- 3 stocks, 8 minutes, Stage Hazards & Items are turned off.
- MDSR (Modified Dave's Stupid Rule) is in effect, meaning players cannot return to the stage they won on previously.

- Smashville
- Yoshis Story
- Kalos Pokemon League
- Town & City
Match Procedures
Game 1:
- Both players do RPS
- Both players declare their character choice (You can ask for a double-blind pick from a TO if need be)
- Winner of RPS Bans 2 Starter stages
- Loser of RPS Allows 2 Remaining Starters
- Winner of RPS picks between those 2 stages
Every game afterwards:
- Winner of the Previous game bans any 2 stages
- Loser of the Previous game picks any non-banned stage EXCEPT for the LAST stage they won on (if applicable)
- Winner of the previous game picks their character
- Loser of the Pevious game picks their Character (The loser of the previous game always gets the final choice in character swaps)
Match Disruptions
- Pausing a tournament match can cost you a stock.
- If a match pauses during gameplay, get your bracket runner or TO. The player whose controller paused the game will receive a stock loss. Any further pauses on that player's part forfeits a game.
- In the event that the game pause is due to a legitimate hardware malfunction you may be allowed to get another controller and restart that game.
Players are expected to uphold reasonable and respectful behaviour at all times.
Any form of abuse, violence, or unfriendly antagonising is not allowed.
Players are to be clearly identifiable at all times during the competition. Playing under a false or unidentifiable alias is not allowed.
Entering any match or game server that players are not assigned to is not allowed.
Only event staff are allowed to spectate matches. Coaches are not permitted to spectate.
Players must allow their games to be broadcasted on the UCGG stream if requested.
Players are to follow all instructions given by an event staff member in regards to the competition.
Players must be honest when presenting information requested by another player or event staff member. This may include scores, replay files, and screenshots.
All forms of cheating and exploitation of the game are strictly prohibited during the competition.
Players must be ready to join their match within the allocated time or the player will be disqualified from the match.
These rules may need to be amended, and if the need to amend a rule arises, players will be notified of the change.
Any disputes must be brought up with an event staff member for a solution to be reached.
