- Overview
Welcome to the Nevada Esports Education League Giving Tuesday Valorant Tournament! This event is designed to be a casual, fun, and community-driven competition, celebrating teamwork and supporting esports education in Nevada.
- Eligibility
Open to all registered players and community members.
Players must have an active Riot Games account and play on the North America (NA) server.
Each player may only compete on one team.
Account sharing or smurfing is strictly prohibited.
- Team Composition
Teams must consist of 5 players.
1 substitute may be registered per team.
Each team must designate a Team Captain for communication with tournament staff.
- Match Format
Game Mode: Standard (5v5 – Plant/Defuse).
Map Pool: Ascent, Bind, Haven, Lotus, Sunset, and Icebox.
Match Type:
Early Rounds – Best of 1 (Bo1)
Semi-Finals & Finals – Best of 3 (Bo3)
Map Selection:
Coin flip or random draw for Bo1.
For Bo3: Team A bans → Team B bans → Team A picks → Team B picks → Remaining map is the decider.
- Lobby Settings
Mode: Standard
Cheats: Off
Overtime: Win by 2 (default Valorant rules)
Servers: NA
Spectators: Allowed (tournament staff only)
- Conduct
Respect all players, staff, and spectators.
No toxicity, harassment, or unsportsmanlike behavior will be tolerated.
The use of cheats, aim assists, or external macros results in immediate disqualification.
Teams must be ready within 10 minutes of their scheduled match.
- Technical Issues
Pauses are allowed only for verified technical issues (max 5 minutes).
If a player disconnects, the round continues unless the issue is server-wide.
Report all issues immediately to event staff.
- Streaming & Media
Players may stream with at least a 2-minute delay.
NEEL may broadcast matches, highlights, or player interviews.
All participants consent to possible inclusion in event photos, videos, and livestreams.
- Prizing & Format Conditions
Thank you for joining our Nevada Esports Education League Giving Tuesday Tournament!
50% of all entrance fees will be donated to the Nevada Esports Education League Esports Career Program, supporting scholarships and educational initiatives.
The remaining 50% will be entered into the player prize pot.
If fewer than 5 teams register, the tournament format will shift to a Free-For-All Deathmatch.
If fewer than 10 total players enter, the tournament will be canceled.
- Disputes
All disputes must be reported immediately after the match.
Tournament staff decisions are final and binding.
- Disclaimer
NEEL staff reserve the right to adjust rules, scheduling, or formats for fairness or technical reasons.
Participation implies full agreement to these rules and NEEL’s community standards.
🎮 Match Rules
- Match Start
All players must be present in the lobby within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time.
Captains are responsible for confirming readiness in the event Discord or with on-site staff.
Failure to appear on time may result in a forfeit at the discretion of tournament staff.
- Lobby Setup
Mode: Standard (5 v 5 – Plant/Defuse)
Cheats: Off
Overtime: Win by 2 (default Riot rules)
Server Region: North America
Spectators: Tournament staff only
Allow Cheats / Pauses: Off (unless staff grants technical pause)
- Map & Side Selection
Map Pool: Ascent · Bind · Haven · Lotus · Sunset · Icebox
Best of 1 (Bo1): Coin flip or random map draw. Winner of coin flip chooses Attack or Defense.
Best of 3 (Bo3):
Team A bans one map
Team B bans one map
Team A picks Map 1 → Team B chooses side
Team B picks Map 2 → Team A chooses side
Remaining map is Map 3 → Coin flip for side.
- Match Flow
Each match consists of 24 rounds (12 attack / 12 defense).
The first team to reach 13 round wins takes the map.
In the event of a 12-12 tie, overtime rules apply (win by 2).
Between maps in a Bo3, teams receive a 5-minute break.
- Pauses & Disconnects
Teams are allowed one technical pause per map (max 5 minutes).
Players must type “/pause” or notify staff immediately.
If a player disconnects mid-round, play continues; they may rejoin once reconnected.
Staff may approve a replay of the current round only for verified server issues.
- Substitutions
Substitutes may only be swapped between maps or with staff approval.
Once a map has started, the active roster must remain in-game.
- Prohibited Behavior
No use of third-party software, macros, or scripts.
No ghosting, stream-sniping, or outside communication.
Players must not exploit bugs or unintended map mechanics.
Unsportsmanlike conduct (taunting, profanity, griefing) can result in round penalties or disqualification.
- Results & Reporting
After each match, captains must report final scores to tournament staff or via the designated results channel.
Screenshots of the scoreboard are recommended for verification.
Staff decisions on results are final once confirmed.
- Forfeits
A team may be forfeited for:
Not showing up within 10 minutes of start time.
Fielding ineligible or unregistered players.
Repeated rule violations or misconduct.
- Staff Authority
Tournament officials have full authority to:
Adjust match timing or map selections for fairness.
Remove or penalize players for violations.
Make final calls on disputes or rematches.

The Nevada Esports Education League (NEEL) Giving Tuesday Tournament is a charity-focused, community-driven esports event. Our mission is to promote education, opportunity, and inclusion in esports while providing a fun and competitive space for players of all skill levels.
All players are expected to compete with integrity, respect their opponents, and represent the community positively.
- Eligibility
Open to all players with valid accounts for the respective titles (League of Legends, Valorant, or TFT) on North American servers.
Players must register through Start.gg before the event deadline.
Participants must be 13 years or older or have parental/guardian consent.
All competitors agree to follow tournament rules, staff directions, and NEEL’s community guidelines.
Players may only register under one team or entry per game.
- Registration & Check-In
Registration closes once tournament capacity is reached.
Players must check in before their scheduled start time on Start.gg or via Discord.
Late check-ins (more than 10 minutes past start) may result in disqualification or forfeiture.
Substitute players (if applicable) must be registered before tournament start.
- Match Conduct
Players must maintain respectful behavior at all times — no harassment, threats, or hate speech.
Toxicity, griefing, or verbal abuse toward players, staff, or spectators will not be tolerated.
Cheating, smurfing, stream-sniping, or use of third-party programs (aimbots, scripts, macros, etc.) will result in immediate disqualification.
Any disputes must be reported to staff immediately after the match.
Tournament officials’ decisions are final and binding.
- Technical Rules
All games are played on North American servers.
Players are responsible for ensuring a stable connection and functioning equipment before matches begin.
If major technical issues affect multiple participants (server crash, disconnects, etc.), staff may restart or reschedule the match.
Pauses are only allowed for technical or emergency reasons and must be communicated to staff.
- Game-Specific Adjustments
Each featured game will follow its own individual ruleset and structure:
🧠 League of Legends – 5v5 Summoner’s Rift (Tournament Draft)
🎯 Valorant – 5v5 Standard (Plant/Defuse)
♟️ Teamfight Tactics – Standard TFT Lobbies (Points Format)
If participation is below expected thresholds:
<16 players/teams: Format may be adjusted (smaller lobbies, shorter rounds, or alternate modes).
<10 players total per title: That game’s tournament will be canceled and refunds issued.
- Prizing & Charity
Thank you for joining our Giving Tuesday Tournament!
50% of all entrance fees will support the NEEL Esports Career Program, providing scholarships and educational resources for Nevada students.
The remaining 50% will go into the player prize pot for winners.
Prizes may include scholarships, digital gift cards, or other community-based rewards.

- Results & Reporting
Match results must be reported immediately after completion.
Screenshots or confirmation from both captains/players may be required for verification.
False reporting or tampering with match data is strictly prohibited.
- Disputes & Appeals
Players must raise any dispute within 10 minutes after a match concludes.
Staff will review evidence and issue a final ruling.
NEEL staff reserve the right to adjust match results or issue penalties for misconduct or unsportsmanlike behavior.
- Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to:
Show respect and professionalism both in-game and in communications.
Refrain from any offensive, discriminatory, or disruptive behavior.
Follow the spirit of fair play and uphold NEEL’s values of education and community leadership.
Violation of these standards may lead to warnings, disqualification, or removal from future NEEL events.
- Staff Authority
Tournament officials have complete discretion to:
Modify brackets or schedules to ensure fairness.
Restart or cancel matches due to unforeseen issues.
Enforce rule violations, issue penalties, or remove players.
Make final decisions on all event matters.
- Community & Media
Players consent to be featured in photos, videos, and livestreams.
Streams may include player names and gameplay footage.
Personal livestreams must include at least a 2-minute delay to prevent competitive advantage.
