Event Rules
The Noodle Crown: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament Rules
General Rules:
  • Game Version: Latest version of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch.
  • Game Settings:
    • Stocks: 3
    • Time Limit: 7 minutes
    • Items: Off and none
    • Stage Hazards: Off
    • Final Smash Meter: Off
    • Spirits: Off
    • Damage Handicap: Off
    • Pausing: Off
    • Stage Morph: Off
    • Score Display: Off
    • Mii Fighters: All moveset combinations are legal.
Stage List:
  • Starters:
    • Battlefield
    • Pokémon Stadium 2
    • Final Destination
    • Small Battlefield
    • Smashville
  • Counterpicks:
    • Town and City
    • Kalos Pokémon League
    • Hollow Bastion
Stage Selection:
  • Game 1:
    • Players may agree to a double blind pick for their characters.
    • Alternatively, players can decide who strikes first via Rock-Paper-Scissors (RPS).
    • The winner of RPS bans 1 stage from the starter list.
    • The loser of RPS bans 2 stages from the starter list.
    • The winner of RPS bans 1 more stage, and the remaining stage is played.
  • Subsequent Games:
    • Winner of the previous game bans 2 stages from the entire list (starters + counterpicks).
    • Loser picks from the remaining stages.
    • Modified DSR: A player cannot counterpick to the stage they last won on in the set unless agreed upon by the opponent.
Character Selection:
  • Game 1: Characters must be announced before stage striking.
  • Subsequent Games:
    • Winner of the previous game announces their character.
    • Loser of the previous game announces their character after the winner has locked in their character.
Additional Rules:
  • Tardiness: Players are expected to be ready to play when their match is called. If a player is not present within 10 minutes of their match being called, they will forfeit the match.
  • Self-Destruct Moves: If a match ends with a self-destruct move, the results screen will determine the winner.
  • Sudden Death: In the event of a timeout, the player with the higher stock count wins. If stocks are tied, the player with the lower percentage wins. If both stock and percentage are tied, a 1-stock, 3-minute match will be played to determine the winner.
  • Glitches: Any action that causes the game to malfunction (e.g., freezing, disappearing characters) will result in a forfeit of the match for the player who initiated the action.
  • Coaching: Coaching is not allowed at all throughout the set.
  • Controllers: Players must use their own controllers. All standard controllers are allowed, including GameCube controllers, Pro controllers, and Joy-Cons. Players must ensure their controllers are functioning correctly before the match starts.
Conduct:
  • Sportsmanship: Players are expected to show good sportsmanship and respect towards their opponents and tournament staff. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification.
  • Reporting Scores: After a match, both players must report the results to the tournament organizer or designated staff member.
Stream Rules:
  • Stream Setup: Select matches will be played on the stream setup. Players must comply with the stream schedule and instructions from the stream staff.

By participating in The Noodle Crown tournament, players agree to abide by all the rules and guidelines outlined above. The tournament organizers reserve the right to modify the rules if necessary to ensure fair play and the smooth operation of the event.

General Venue Rules:
  1. Health and Safety:

    • Do not attend if you are feeling sick or have any symptoms of illness.
    • If you begin to feel unwell during the event, please inform a staff member and make arrangements to leave promptly.
  2. Personal Conduct:

    • Show respect to fellow attendees, players, and staff.
    • Any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the venue without a refund.
  3. Damages:

    • Guests are responsible for any damages they cause to the venue or equipment.
    • Costs for repairs or replacements will be charged to the responsible party.
  4. Cleanliness:

    • Keep the venue clean. Dispose of trash in designated bins.
    • Avoid bringing outside food and drinks unless otherwise permitted by venue policies.
  5. Property and Equipment:

    • Do not tamper with or misuse any of the venue's equipment or property.
    • Only authorized personnel are allowed in restricted areas.
  6. Personal Belongings:

    • The venue is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Keep personal belongings secure and within your sight.
  7. Alcohol and Substances:

    • Alcohol consumption is permitted only in designated areas and for guests of legal drinking age.
    • Illegal substances are strictly prohibited. Violation of this rule will result in immediate removal and possible legal action.
  8. Noise Levels:

    • Be mindful of noise levels to ensure a pleasant experience for all attendees.
    • Excessive noise or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
  9. Children:

    • Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
    • Ensure that children follow all venue rules and guidelines.
  10. Emergency Procedures:

    • Familiarize yourself with emergency exits and procedures.
    • In case of an emergency, follow the instructions of the venue staff and emergency personnel.

all games will have a top 3 payout unless stated otherwise (60%, 30%, 10%)

By attending The Noodle Crown at our venue, guests agree to abide by these rules and guidelines. The venue staff reserves the right to enforce these rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Failure to comply with these rules may result in removal from the venue without a refund.
